Video reactions on Instagram reels soon?

Along with video reactions, Instagram is again testing a feature for reels, which has been available on TikTok for a long time.

Many creative and immersive TikTok features are an important part of the success of the app. Thanks to the possibility to react to a TikTok with their own videos, for example, users naturally stay engaged and active. Because Instagram has taken over every popular feature from TikTok so far, it’s really not surprising that it’s launching this new tool on the reels.

The success of TikTok largely depends on the engagement trends it generates and the ability to watch short videos in the app. It makes it very easy to engage with any post or hashtag challenge through multiple features.

With its strong ability to specifically target the publications that appear in the feed, along with the TikTok algorithm that optimizes in real time to your publishing preferences, this makes it the most downloaded application worldwide Is.

But inviting more people to each trend is key to getting more users to open the app even more often. Instagram is also trying to do the same on the reels.

His latest innovation?

The platform will work on one of the key features of TikTok: video reactions.

Through this tweet, Alessandro Paluzzi shows that known TikTok video reactions can be launched on the reels.

Instagram is currently testing a new option that lets users Create reaction video directly from reel share button. This can help more people to post more reel content.

As soon as users tap the share icon on the reel, they are presented with a list of Instagram contacts to send the video. So there may soon be a camera icon in the top right corner for creating video reactions.

This is just a test right now – it is not yet known if and when this feature will be rolled out in full.

one more step towards tiktok

In March 2020, the platform had already tested a similar feature for IGTV. Now that Instagram has focused heavily on the reels, it only makes sense that it would want to bring this feature to the platform.

Another feature that is reminiscent of TikTok is the remix feature, which is available from March 2021 onwards. It allows Instagram users to create side-by-side reactions in the reels – similar to the TikTok Duet feature.

Video reactions are thus another step toward TikTok, as Instagram looks for ways to engage more closely with the platform in an effort to stem its strong growth and keep users engaged with its app.
