Snapchat launches ‘Story Studio’ to make it easier to create video content

Do you use Snapchat? Whatever your answer, the Story Studio app should interest you. Snap announced it in May, but it’s just launching…

An Advanced Editing Tool on Snapchat

The Snapchat social network has launched Story Studio, an application for creating and Edit Professional Content on smartphone. it is’An App That Works Independently From Snapchat And which aims to be an advanced editing tool with which you can edit both photos and videos to get high quality results. Story Studio allows you to create videos in a more advanced and engaging vertical format.

The new app is meant to give creators, especially those with Snapchat and Spotlight accounts, the ability to use more advanced editing tools on their videos. He understands:

  • Image-accurate cropping, splitting and syncing tools;
  • Tools for adding transitions, layers, captions and sounds;
  • Full Snap lens library;
  • Snapchat lenses as well as songs and stickers for vertical videos;
  • A built-in share button through which users can directly share their videos.

The video editing app also has Snapchat Insights that will show trending sounds, hashtags, and targets to give users a better understanding of what can increase the reach of their videos.

A unique video editing app

Story Studio is a video editing app for vertical video and TikTok-like Snapchat Spotlight functionality that the company launched in November last year. Like TikTok and Instagram Reels, Spotlight lets Snapchat users post vertical videos and have endless scrolling feeds. Story Studio will allow Snapchat users to edit their vertical videos that can be exported directly to Spotlight or uploaded to a Snapchat story.

Story Studio of course easily exports to Snapchat and Spotlight, but also includes the ability to download and share on any platform. What’s even better is that it won’t include a watermark, unlike TikTok, the leader in vertical videos.

Tough competition in the mobile video market

Snap still faces stiff competition in the mobile video space from TikTok, Instagram Reels and Facebook. The latter said in July that it would pay creators $1 billion by 2022. Although Snap claims that Spotlight creators post three times more frequently than at the time of the feature’s announcement, it’s still a relatively new product, and it’s up against giants like TikTok with 1. billion monthly users.

Interestingly, Meta has also recently launched the Spark AR Go app to get ahead of its competitors. This new feature facilitates the simplified creation of publications based on augmented reality.

For now, only users in the United States, Canada, and Great Britain can test Snapchat’s Story Studio, as well as iOS users. However, we can be sure that when a final version is released, it will still be available if Snapchat is available. If you want to use Story Studio and are from the US, UK or Canada, you can download it for free from the App Store. If you don’t see it yet and fall within the above parameters, be patient, it is slowly unfolding.

Keep it up, though, as it can be a useful tool, especially for those looking to use Snapchat as part of their social media strategy.
