Like all major cultural events of 2020, Halloween will be a little different this year due to the pandemic. To save it and make it even more special, Mars Wrigley has decided to offer a unique virtual experience for those who can’t go door to door this year…
For Halloween 2020, Mars Wrigley is adjusting to the COVID-19 crisis. The confectionery giant best known for Snickers and M&Ms has decided to launch Treat Town, a free virtual application.
It allows users to play Candy virtually with family and friends – and get real candy afterwards. Specifically, they can send and receive change candy credits for Mars Wrigley candy at many physical and online stores in the United States.
The app, available on iOS or Android, allows you to create a personalized “house” alongside a personal scary avatar.
Second surprise? Users can play interactive games, explore the virtual homes of friends and families to earn candy credits, and play fun tricks.
“Mars Wrigley’s virtual experience shows how we are reinventing our business to give consumers better times and more smiles.” According to Anton Vincent, president of Mars Wrigley North America.
An inspiring marketing strategy to keep the spirit of Halloween alive and deliver unforgettable memories, isn’t it?
