Those who succeed on the Internet know this: You have to spend half your time only on your introduction. This is the first impression. The moment when your listener can become a fan of you… or completely hate you. each word Cause. each body language Cause. each Picture Cause…
I can give you a structure to copy and paste
unfortunately i won’t do it
Why ?
Cause it’s the best way not to progress
Memorize your presentations in the sixth copy and paste them on Wikipedia. Not very useful, is it?
Well, that’s it!
Being good in any field is not rocket science, you need to understand the basics ,
But, as you work more, you don’t have the hours (and inclination) each week to analyze the content to make it compelling.
And that’s good, because I did this work for you!
In today’s video, we go deeper into Breaking Bad’s introduction.
Together we will try to understand What are the ingredients that make this intro one of the best ever
And, as a bonus, I’ve prepared some hooks for you (don’t thank me!)
Watch the video now:
Mentioned link:
pyramid of human needs
Once you watch the video:
As we just saw in this video (actually watch the video by clicking here, otherwise you will lose most of the content!), the introduction is divided into 2 parts:
- draw the attention ,
- you want to see the rest,
Of course, there are dozens (if not hundreds) of techniques to achieve both of these goals. Some more effective than others.
Unfortunately, we won’t be able to include everything in this bonus!
But, good news, I have prepared for you 9 catchy ideas to grab your listener’s attention in the first few seconds.
Test them out, and see what works best for you!
1- Describe the problem
this most mighty All !
No, without laughing.
Imagine, you have a very precise problem, like when a teddy bear of 1m19 is on your right, you get stressed (everyone fights for it!).
And there you click on a video, and that guy starts out like this:
If you’re stressed out by a 1m19 teddy bear on your right, this video is for you. we will see blah blah blah
100% be you!
2 – Show solution
Similar to 1, this approach involves describing the gain,
Imagine, when you were a kid, you dreamed of a 1m19 teddy bear.
And there the man comes and says:
At the end of this video, you will learn how to get a 1m19 teddy bear! For him, blah blah blah
Pouf! You stop.
3 – Tell a story
we like them stories,
100,000 years ago, our ancestors gathered around the fire to tell each other about their adventure.
So, like them, start with a story!
for example :
Something crazy happened to me last week. i was doing blah blah blah
4 – Use a quote
Simple, efficient, fun. The more famous it is, the more attention it attracts.
Let’s say you want to (randomly) do an article on copywriting:
, You always have to find a market first, then create a product.”
It’s not me saying, it’s Gary Halbert. so blah blah blah
5 – points
30,000 There is no need for clarification.
Our brain prefers what is accurate.
You do not believe me ? Fine…
If you are facing these headings, which one do you click on?
- They told me it was too expensive;
- 103 people told me it was too expensive.
We all agree.
Want to make a video on Facebook Ads? start like this:
Last month, the number of revenue generated from Facebook advertising increased by 261%. that’s why blah blah blah
6 – Facts
Give the fact, it catches our interest. This is true ! (what a beautiful setting in juice)
The more specific you are, the more attention you will get from your prospect.
for example :
On 26 August 2019, my cousin bought his first building, he was 16 years old at that time. look how simple it is blah blah blah
7 – “counter-intuitive”
This is my little one! And used well, it is arguably the most powerful.
The idea is simple: Start with something opposite.
But more concretely: how to do it?
Identify a popular belief, and start the video by declaring: “This belief is false”
like:
If you believe that your left brain is more functional than your right brain, then you should know that it is wrong. Be careful, I do not deny the fact that you are a creative person. I am telling you that right and left brains do not exist. It’s a myth, because blah blah blah
8 – allegory
It won’t break a duck’s four legs (you have!)
But, it always feels good when you lack motivation.
And then, it starts on the cap with an eye-catching image if it is chosen well.
And as we saw in the video (actually, check it out if you haven’t already!), the scene is effective in getting our attention.
for example :
Investing in real estate without a coach is like wanting to fly without a plane, it’s only possible if you’re a bird. good luck to you; blah blah blah
9 – make a joke
I’ll give you a confession … this is what I love the least.
It’s not that it’s ineffective, quite the contrary.
But, it is the hardest to use!
This is a double edged sword.
Because on one hand you don’t want to sound like a clown by selling your training…
But on the other hand, laughter produces norepinephrine. what?
It’s a chemical released in your brain, which you use to (among other things) remember information.
It’s like super glue on the brain!
If you choose the (dangerous) option to use jokes, you should consider that they will help you remember the important points of your material.
Therefore to be used in moderation!
And of course you’re all waiting for me to crack a joke on you, so here we go:
What’s it called, 3 friends in Silicon Valley? a start-up. And speaking of start-ups, blah blah blah
Conclusion
Well, after all this joke (to the death of laughter), what are we supposed to take from all this?
One thing: To make great introductions, the best thing you can do is figure out what’s already working, analyze them, and repeat those techniques for practice.
That’s all for today (unfortunately).
P.S. Seriously, if you’ve read all of this without visiting my Breaking Bad video, do it now by clicking here!
